The origin — 2019, one WhatsApp number
WatchYupoo started as a side operation in 2019. The founder had been buying rep watches for himself for 3 years and knew the factories, the batches, the shipping tricks. Friends kept asking him to help them get one. Eventually the messages got too many to keep as favors — that was the moment to formalize.
The first year: 200 parcels, all to friends-of-friends in the US and UK. The catalog was three Rolex references and a Cartier Tank. Payment was PayPal Friends. Shipping was DHL Express because that's what the founder used for himself.
Where we are today
Six years in, we're a five-person operation working out of two warehouse locations in Guangzhou. We source from seven factories (Clean, VSF, PPF, KV, BBR, HBB, OMF) and stock 250+ watch batches at any given time. WhatsApp is still the main channel — it's the fastest way to answer questions and send QC videos.
How we work — the daily rhythm
Beijing time 09:00 — WhatsApp check for overnight inquiries from the US.
10:00-14:00 — batch photography, quality control, packing.
14:00-18:00 — DHL pickup, evening WhatsApp responses.
18:00-22:00 — Chinese domestic sourcing, factory calls, new batch previews.
Weekend — reduced WhatsApp response time, urgent orders still handled.

By profile: gift buyers (30%), self-buyers (55%), resellers reordering for their own customers (15%).
Our partnership program
Since 2023 we've been helping resellers set up their own rep watch websites (with our warehouse as their supplier). The economics: they buy from us at wholesale, mark up to their local market, sell direct. Some of the sites now doing 30-100 orders/month started as our partnership program in 2024.
